Job Description We’re seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to support surgical teams in delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality care. You’ll prepare surgical suites, manage instruments during procedures, maintain sterile fields, and respond to changing intraoperative conditions. This role may also include serving as a Preceptor. Key Responsibilities Provide sterile instruments and supplies during procedures Perform sponge, needle, and instrument counts Prepare case tables with equipment, supplies, and medications Assist in patient positioning and maintain protective positioning Collaborate with physicians on preference card updates and cost-saving initiatives Participate in safety and risk mitigation measures Support continuous improvement in surgical processes Qualifications Completion of an Accredited Surgical Technology Program (Associate’s degree or equivalent) Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Red Cross or AHA) required upon start Ability to scrub across multiple specialties (Neuro, Orthopedic, ENT, GYN) Schedule & Requirements Part-time: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM; variable weekends On-call: Minimum 2-hour callback Applicants must live within 1 hour of Grand Rapids, MI HirePower Personnel, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
