Intermodal Shuttle truck driver Average pay: $1,275-$1,425 weekly Home time: Daily Experience: 3 months or greater CDL experience Overview Haul freight containers and move company-owned chassis from railyard to railyard. 100% no-touch freight that is 100% drop-and-hook. Drive a tractor from Schneider's pool of 150 day cabs. No assigned trucks. Drive in and out of railyards within 60 miles of Chicago, IL. Pay and bonus potential Hourly pay and load pay. Longevity bonus: Earn 3% of annual gross pay each year. $5,000 sign-on bonus paid over 12 monthly payments in your first year for experienced drivers. Paid orientation. Paid time off after 6 months, plus 6 days of holiday pay per year. Qualifications Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). Drivers on this account are required to drive at night. Tanker endorsement and HazMat endorsement are strongly preferred. Live within 50 miles of Chicago, IL. Minimum 3 months of Class A driving experience.
