Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: Kalamazoo, MI Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,136 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/9/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Kalamazoo, Michigan, 49048! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Stepdown Intermediate Care Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Hours (07:00 - 19:30) Experience: Minimum 2 Years License: Active State Nursing License Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Required Must-Have: - Previous charge experience preferred - Cerner charting system experience required - Ability to float to like units as needed - Willingness to work weekends and holidays as required Description: The position is for a registered nurse specializing in stepdown intermediate care. The role requires working three 12-hour day shifts per week. Nurses will be responsible for maintaining patient care in a 22-bed stepdown unit. Patient-to-nurse ratios are 1:4. Candidates should have at least two years of experience in stepdown or ICU settings. ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications are required for this role. The patient population includes adults and geriatrics with various diagnoses. Nurses will provide interdisciplinary support working alongside physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. Special procedures may be performed in this role, including management of post-surgical patients and those with cardiovascular issues. Candidates must demonstrate knowledge of telemetry and the ability to interpret dysrhythmias. Responsibilities also include medication administration, central line management, and wound care. All travelers must adhere to professional conduct standards to avoid contract termination.
