Locum Tenens Hematology Oncology Physician Opportunity Near Kalamazoo, MI We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Hematology Oncology Physician for a locum tenens position near Kalamazoo, MI. Position Highlights Profession: Physician Specialty: Hematology Oncology Start Date: ASAP End Date: Ongoing Provider Title: Medical Oncologist Request Type: Locum Tenens Coverage Type: Days Shift Details Shift(s) Description: Clinic coverage from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM On Call Requirements: Rotation with approximately 6 other physicians Responsibilities Practice Setting: Hospital-based cancer center with outpatient services, onsite lab, diagnostics, and pharmacy. Reason for Coverage: New program growth Dates of Coverage: Starting October 7, 2024, for approximately 10 months Shifts Per Month: Full-time (5 days per week); part-time options available (partial weeks or alternating weeks) Call Ratio: 1:5 Patient Population: Adult, Geriatric Percentage of Practice: 50% Hematology, 50% Oncology Number of Physicians in Practice: 7 across 2 locations APPs Providing Coverage: Approximately 10 Average Number of Outpatients Per Day: 10-15 Average Number of Hospital Patients Per Day: 15 Clinical Area: Oncology - Outpatient Trauma Level/Designation: Level 2 Trauma Documentation System/EMR: Epic Procedures Required Chemotherapy - Intrathecal Chemotherapy - Intracavitary (Intrpleural/Peritoneal) FNA/Biopsy Management of VAD/CV Catheters Administration of Chemotherapy: Physician orders, nurse administers Requirements Board Certified/Board Eligible in Hematology/Oncology: Required Active Michigan License: Required BLS Certification: Required Certification Requirements BLS Board Certified Board Eligible State License Requirements Michigan Job ID Job ID: J-239420 Benefits Flexible Schedule: Full-time or part-time options available to suit your lifestyle.
