Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year, 2 years preferred License: Active state license required prior to start Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIH Must-Have: - Must have one year of experience with cardiac and stroke patients and telemetry experience. - Telemetry and cardiac/stroke experience is required. - Some cardiac drip experience is required. - Must be able to read, identify, and react to cardiac rhythms. Description: Position involves working on an intermediate cardiac/stroke unit. The RN to patient ratio is 1:5. Shifts are three 12-hour nights from 19:00 to 07:30. Every other weekend is required. Floating within scope may occur to meet facility needs. Experience with various drips such as Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and Lasix is necessary. The unit provides care to renal patients on hemodialysis done by an outside company. All modes of oxygenation other than mechanical ventilation are utilized. Must complete up to 8 hours of modules within one week of signing. Modules are self-reported and required prior to start. First-time travelers are accepted for this position.
