POSITIONThe staff physician is responsible for providing primary
care to adults consistent with accepted professional standards.
Must adhere to the Personnel Policies, Code of Ethics, and all
licensing and accreditation standards of the position. Must

communications, and representations with all contacts.ESSENTIAL
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESProvide medical evaluation and treatment
of patients based on scientific knowledge.Maintain accurate and
detailed medical records for each patient.Prescribe appropriate
medication, therapy, and/or diagnostic studies as indicated.Ensure
appropriate referrals, encouraging continuity of care.Recommend
lifestyle changes to improve the quality of life for
patients.Follow up and interpret diagnostic test results and inform
patients with recommendations for any further steps
needed.Participate in the peer review process.Supervise Advance
Practice Providers (NP, PA).Provide coverage for other providers
who may be unavailable.Collaborate with a team (MA, RN, LPN, RD,
pharmacist, social worker, others) to better serve patients.Assist
in the coordination and/or supervision of prevention and health
maintenance services (e.g., well-adult care, immunizations) for a
panel of patients.Assist with the development, implementation, and
monitoring of clinic policies, procedures, and protocols, as needed
to achieve Cherry Street Services Inc. goals and objectives.Assist
in maintaining the Quality Assurance program.Attend regular
internal departmental and organizational meetings discussing
progress in meeting clinical program and agency goals.Understand
and adhere to CSHSs compliance standards as they appear in CSHSs
Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct, and Conflict of
Interest Policy.Keep abreast of all pertinent federal, state, and
CSHS regulations, laws, and policies, and ensure compliance.Assist
in ensuring that staff are trained and evaluated on their knowledge
of and adherence to compliance policies and procedures specific to
their jobs.ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAssist in the
implementation of in-service training programs when needed.Serve as
a liaison with the medical community and establish and maintain
linkages with external agencies and organizations when
appropriate.Perform other duties as assigned.SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE /
ABILITIESBasic Life Support/CPR training according to requirements
of license and/or certification.Tact and similar qualities
necessary to effectively meet and deal with others in person and on
the telephone.Willingness to work evenings and weekends as
required.Establish and maintain effective working relationships
with other staff members.Effective use of electronic health records
and information systems.Understand and follow complex written and
oral instructions.Effectively communicate orally with diverse
individuals and groups.Exercise good judgment in appraising
situations and making decisions.Work with limited supervision and
accept and utilize criticism when given.Identify and maintain
agency and other confidential information.Work in various settings
such as traditional offices, other Cherry Health sites, mobile
medical vans, nursing homes, etc.Effectively work with people of
different cultures, experiences, abilities, and backgrounds.Ability
to work with interpreter or electronic interpreter
services.EDUCATION / LICENSES / CERTIFICATESLicensed to practice
medicine in the State of Michigan.Board certification or
eligibility.Insurable for liability coverage as a primary care
physician in Michigan.Remain up-to-date in medical advances through
continuing medical education.EXPERIENCEEquivalent combination of
education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the
essential duties of the job as listed above.WORKING CONDITIONSThe
essential functions of this position must be able to be
accomplished with or without accommodations.Ability to work in a
stressful environment. Ability to hear conversational
voice.Exposure to patient elements through procedures such as
vascular access, treatment of minor/major injuries, invasive
examinations, lifesaving/CPR procedures, disposal of contaminated
waste, cleaning and disinfecting equipment, handling contaminated
sharps, and collection of contaminated specimens.Frequent lifting,
stretching, and other physical exertions during positioning of
patients and/or moving equipment.Independently mobile with the
possibility of climbing stairs.Specific vision abilities required
by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to
adjust focus.CLIENT/PATIENT POPULATION SERVEDMay serve all patient
populations.WORKING ENVIRONMENTThis job operates in a professional
office environment. This role routinely uses standard office
equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets,
and fax machines.PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described
