Job Description Job Description Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift Title: Maintenance Technician Location: Grand Rapids, MI 49544 Salary: $30 - $40/hour Founded in 1979, Profile Films is a leading manufacturer of high-quality polyethylene film products used across packaging, industrial, and consumer markets. We operate high-speed blown-film extrusion lines, winding systems, and converting equipment that require strong electrical and mechanical support. As we continue to grow, our Grand Rapids facility is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to install, maintain, and repair production machinery, extrusion equipment, and facility support systems. What You Will Be Doing Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repairs on blown-film extrusion lines, winders, bag machines, and auxiliary equipment, including motors, drives, heaters, temperature controls, and sensors Diagnose and repair electrical issues involving controls, wiring, drives, and PLC-based systems while maintaining pneumatic and hydraulic components Dismantle, adjust, replace, and install machine parts; conduct inspections, lubrication, cleaning, and minor fabrication to ensure equipment reliability and consistent product quality Support production by responding quickly and safely to equipment issues and using electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical blueprints to guide repairs and installations What You Need for this Position High School degree minimum or equivalent, Associate's degree or technical certification preferred 3 years of industrial maintenance experience; experience in blown-film extrusion, plastics, converting, or other high-speed manufacturing environments is a strong plus Strong Mechanical and Electrical troubleshooting experience Experience with PLCs, drives, sensors, and temperature control systems What's In It for You Full Benefits Package (Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, LTD/STD, 401k w/ matching) and more!
